Solar is not a show dog but she is every bit as special to us. She was named for the solar eclipse of 2017, during which she was due to be born. Her litter came early. She and her brother had a scary start, but with around the clock care, they pulled through and now, they are both healthy and spreading joy as working therapy dogs, comforting patients in hospitals and nursing homes. Solar is the tiniest Manchester I have ever seen, tipping the scales at 5.5 lbs. She has a big personality and always lights up the room. She’s become somewhat of a mascot in the Manchester world with followers from around the globe on her instagram page: @maximaldog
